watching the sun rise…..
i am sitting here at work with my friend/co-worker/DJ, josh adams. we spend our wednesday mornings and afternoons chillin at work, chatting about music and why we love to live our lives around it and in it.
we work in a restaurant called bottega cucina, a small ten table, italian restaurant located in west springfield, ma.
we listen to soul town on xm radio most of the day, but when we have the opportunity to switch the channel we go directly to area on xm. this is where we find our common ground and we day dream of the future and we reminisce about the past.
we continue our day discussing tracks and experiences. we motivate one another to stay focused and keep on keepin on.
when i asked josh today what was one of his favorite downtempo tracks he replied with out hesitation, “trentmoller, moan.” he went on to explain that it reminds him of those special nights that lead into the next day. the ones where the perfect sunrise happens and he is in the perfect place to watch.
i have had this tune on the back burner, waiting to share it. once i heard josh say it….well, seems like the best time is now.
trentmoller is most definitely a genius when it comes to remixes and composing tracks. his debut album “last resort” is one for the top albums ever category. (it is one of my top ten)
anders trentemoller is from copenhagen, denmark. his track “moan” features the vocals of ane trolle and was released on “last resort”, october 9, 2006.
